School doors will open at 7:10 a.m. Students will remain in the cafeteria until 7:30 a.m., when they are taken to class. Breakfast in the classroom will be served from 7:30–7:50 a.m. and will not be available after 7:50, so please ensure your child arrives on time. All students should be in class and ready to learn by 7:40 a.m.

Principal Introduction
It is with heartfelt enthusiasm that I introduce myself as the new principal of J. Houston Elementary. My name is Alexandra Tarpley, and I am truly honored to join a school community that is deeply committed to academic excellence, equity, and student-centered learning. 3rd-6th Dismissal update: Starting January 7th
Afternoon pick-up for 3rd-6th graders will be on Tallow Tree Dr. beginning January 7, 2025. Cars will stop and line up on Tallow Tree Dr. Students will be brought to cars. Due to construction, cars will no longer enter the parking lot.
